Coalition for National ICT Development (CNID) is a non-government Information and Communication Technology (ICT) organization based in Ebonyi state, Nigeria with affiliate offices across the country.
Our primary objective is to awaken that required consciousness in all Nigerians to begin to see ICT use and application as a veritable tool for improved livelihood and sustainable development.
We intend to achieve this by initiating and executing ICT related projects that will encourage increased participation and adoption of ICT by all Nigerians as a veritable tool for development.
With the adoption of ICT by other countries to pursue development objective, it is unfortunate to note that internet users in France alone are more than those in Africa as a whole. This disparity in access and patronage of ICT use and application by the rest of the world and Africa is leading to a digital divide that might eventually cut Africa from the rest of the world.
Nigeria with a population of over 160 million people is the largest nation in Africa. To compliment government effort in providing the populace with the necessary infrastructure and manpower that will encourage increased patronage and adoption of ICT as an Enabler of development is the premise on which CNID was founded.
Our projects are designed and pursued in such a way that the gospel of ICT use and application, as a veritable tool for improved livelihood and sustainable development, is brought to the door step of every segment of the Nigerian society.
