Bounded by Eastern Obolo, Etinan, Mkpat Einin and Eket Local Government Areas. Onna`s name derives from an acronym of the three predominant clans that live in the area: Oniong, Nnung Ndem and Awa.

Because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the people of Onna are predominantly fishermen. The people are also into farming. They also engage in downstream exploration.
The people are Ibibio speaking stock.
